Hemp Dollars were first issued on November 16, 1914.  Keep in mind Pennsylvania was famous from producing hemp through the 1900s. Some people might think the crop depicted on the 10 Dollar Bill is not hemp. However, it is too tall to be flax or wheat and hence the obvious crop is hemp.

The hemp 10 Dollar Bill is available in three different series. First and foremost is the Large-size ten Dollar note, Federal Reserve Note, Series 1914/Red seal. Next in line is the small-size Ten Dollar Note, Federal Reserve Note, Series 1915/blue seal and finally the small-size Ten Dollar Note, Federal Reserve Note, Series 1918/blue seal.
