Setback of Chandrayaan will not impact Gaganyaan

-

The mission of Chandrayaan 2 will have no impact on the ISRO’s mission Gaganyaan, which will be launched in 2022. According to one of the Indian Space Research Organization officials, PG Diwakar, the former scientific Secretary of the Space Agency and the present Director Of Earth Observations Applications and Disaster Management Programme Office at the headquarters of ISRO in Bengaluru, both Gaganyaan and Chandrayaan have separate dimensions and objectives.

He further added, there will be no impact absolutely and the human spaceflight mission, as well as satellite missions, will run smoothly. Every mission has its own type.

However, P.G. Diwakar did not comment anything on the glitches faced by Chandrayaan-2 during the process of landing. The lander lost contact with the Earth just 2.1 km above the lunar surface. According to the announcement by PM Narendra Modi in his last speech on Independence Day, ISRO is planning to send three Indians to space by 2022.

Apart from this, the Indian Space Research Organization will also launch Aditya L-1, the first solar mission of India by 2020. They further plan to launch interplanetary missions and developer space station to Venus and Mars. P.G Diwakar says that Vikram lander had its own set of challenges while the following missions will have completely different objectives.

Chandrayaan 2 was designed with the motive of the soft landing of Vikram on the lunar surface.

Gangayaan’s mandate will be to take astronauts to space safely and bring them back to our planet.

Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India stated that the scientist of the Indian Space Research Organization will remain undeterred by the Chandrayaan 2 missions setback and acetate the nation will definitely achieve its goal of landing on the moon.

He was speaking for hours after the lander lost communication contact with the Earth during the wee hours on Saturday. He stated that the scientists of ISRO have strong working spirits and will not stop until they achieve their goal.
